On behalf of the Panhellenic Council and the Fraternity and Sorority Life Office, we are so excited to welcome you to Panhellenic Sorority Recruitment at the University of Nebraska at Kearney! UNK is proud of its strong tradition of outstanding sorority communities, and we hope your recruitment experience is one filled with connection, confidence, and memories that will last far beyond this week.

The cost to participate in recruitment this year is $40. This fee covers a recruitment T-shirt to be worn on Day 1, meals when dining halls are closed, and snacks provided throughout the week.

Before registering, we want to be transparent about what sorority membership entails. Joining a sorority offers incredible opportunities for friendship, leadership development, academic accountability, and meaningful service within the UNK and Kearney communities. Membership also includes a financial commitment, with first-semester costs typically ranging from $350–$600, as well as a requirement to live in the sorority house for a portion of your membership. These expectations will be discussed in more detail during recruitment and by each individual chapter.

We also want you to know that many sorority members work part-time jobs and/or pay their own dues. Most chapters offer flexible payment plans, making sorority life accessible and manageable alongside your college experience.
